The medal was for honorary bestowal on a member of another service or a foreign serviceman for a worthy mission involving 10 flights on a RVNAF or allied aircraft.

The medal comes in four grades.

The first grade (1000 hours) has a gold jet device,

Second grade (600 hours) has silver jet device.

Third grade (300 Hours) has a bronze jet device.

Honor grade (has no device).

This listing is for the silver jet device, (Second Grade).

This device can be placed on the ribbon bar or attached to the ribbon of the full size medal.

Size is 3/8 x 1/4 inches.
